Job Description

The Recruitment Co is currently recruiting for a Inspection Test lead to join our clients growing team based in the Llanelli area.Contract: PermanentSalary: £32,975p.aHours of work: DAYS Full time 37 Hours per week. Mon - Fri. OT & WE Working When RequiredResponsible for Quality Technicians, Firewall OperatorsQualifications:

An appropriate qualification in Mechanical / Production Engineering ( e.g Degree or HNC)
Educated to a minimum HNC level in an Engineering/Manufacturing discipline

Key Tasks / Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain sort and rework instructions, and ensure personnel are trained to carry out the requirements set out in the document without deviation.
Ensure product inspection is carried out to the highest possible standards to ensure quality provided to our customers is acceptable
Ability to use tools and techniques such as Pareto, pivot tables to effectively analyse Q-Stock data and plan to reduce within the business/customer required timescales
Ensure OTIF delivery is achieved for parts requiring inspection and test. Including containment activities across the plant
Support the NPI Quality Engineers for pre-series build inspection requirements and in to safe launch of new projects (SOP+90 days)
Complete internal audits within the inspection and test areas to ensure 100% audit score and compliance at all times
Manage time and attendance for inspection and test personnel
Report out to management Q-Stock status as and when required. Meeting strict deadlines and targets for Q-Stock to ensure the plant meets internal and customer targets/requirements
Champion inspection and test area. Proactively looking for improvements to reduce inspection and test but meet required quality standards/requirements
Be part of the Quality morning meeting team, reporting out KPIs for the inspection and test areas
Provide appropriate training for inspection and test personnel
Manage the activities of inspection and test personnel on a day-to-day basis
Proactively feedback concerns to production and quality engineering teams
Ensure inspection and test areas are maintained to the highest standard and proactively seek improvements to drive area continual improvement

Knowledge / Experience:

Strong understanding of OEM Customer Specific Standards & Requirements
A proven background of leadership abilities combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to plan and manage resources to achieve objectives and priorities despite conflicting agendas and multiple deliverables
A good working knowledge of metal forming and fabrication processes.
Appropriate experience within an Automotive 1st Tier Supplier
Ability to lead and motivate a small team / cross functional teams to achieve desired results
Confident presentation skills to promote ideas to the team and motivate them to achieve results
Possess the ability to lead and motivate a small team of people.
