Job Description

The Recruitment Co are currently recruiting a Data / Process Analyst to join our clients growing team that work within the automotive industry based in the Llanelli area.Contract: PermanentSalary: £35kHours of work: Mon-Thurs: 8am-4.30pm & Fri: 8am-1pmYou will be Responsible for: Supporting the Business and its Management Team in various aspects including Process Cycle Times, Improvement Projects, New Product Introductions, Process Layout & Logistics definition, Production standard/ targetsetting, Manning and Capacity calculations.Qualifications:

  • HND in Mechanical & Production Engineering (or relevant discipline)
Key Requirements:
  • High level use of Excel and/or familiarity with Power BI
  • Good understanding of Lean - Six Sigma philosophies & Continuous Improvement Tools
  • Advanced level of Excel user skills
  • Capability to take, record accurate Time Studies & Utilise data for Manning/Capacity Evaluation
  • Ability to take ownership and develop competency in software programs such as CAD and Simulation tools.
  • Ability to lead improvement activities, managing and motivating the projects team to achieve the required outcomes
Knowledge / Experience:
  • Experience in a similar role- Proven track record within the automotive sector preferably 1st tier.
  • Lean - "Thinking Way"- Process Flow/Process Layout/ Logistics (Wastes, Pull System, Continuous Flow, Takt)
  • Experience of Time Study and recording of Data, calculating manning ,Capacity & OEE
  • Experience in press working & welded assemblies
Key Tasks / Responsibilities:
  • Time Study - Recording Process times accurately and to a good Standard
  • Data Recording - Collating study data, issue standard time to relevant personnel, archive for Ref and feed into Manning and capacity system.
  • Use simulation software to identify and prioritise improvement activities/s risk to business.
  • Continuous Improvement Activities: Participating and leading projects for cost saving, H&S and general business needs
  • Support delivery of monthly Industrial KPIs for Group
  • Maintenance of Overall site layout, Future Strategy Proposals, H&S or CI updates.
  • Internal Process moves- Layout Planning of enabling moves & Installations.
  • New Product Introductions- Assist in process design and layout
  • NPI: Define Layout- Process flow, Logistics, Cell Furniture, Team Members Standardised work, manning calcs, storage req etc.
  • NPI: Process Installation- Mark floors, assist installation, aid area definition (layout) of cell furniture etc. Assist in 5S definition
  • NPI: Process Trials - Recording time study data for process (Auto & Manual Times)
  • Electronic Customer Capacity Calculations for NPI and ongoing projects
  • General Project requests from Senior management
