Miners - Apprentice to Senior LevelExciting positions have become available for Miners based in Derbyshire; SK17 8RF. Our client has multiple positions available for candidates of different skill levels. The successful candidate will earn £23,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.Candidates will work 40 hours per week, the role typically involves day (06:00-14:00) and afternoon (14:00-22:00) shift but may include night shift (22:0006:00). There are guaranteed holidays over Christmas and other bank holiday periods.Role RequirementsAll employees are expected to have the minimum apprentice level education and work experience requirements.

18 years of age or older
Good literacy and maths skills
Good at following instructions
Problem solving attitude
Work well under self-discipline

Additional experience in suitable hard rock environments will be assessed on a case by case basis, as well suitable mining qualifications such as shotfiring certificates, health and safety, and rock mechanics.Role Responsibilities

The key responsibility of the operational mining team at Milldam is to ensure that ore production and development meets target. This work includes use of underground equipment such as LHDs, Haul Trucks, development drill rigs, longhole drill rigs, and ancillaryequipment. It also includes the installation of ground support, shotfiring, and installation of underground infrastructure and services required for operation of the mine.
Miners progress from Apprentice to Senior level at Milldam by building experience and competency across all areas of the underground mining process. All levels of experience are expected to adhere to instructions given by their supervisor, work safely andadhere strictly to safety management rules and procedures in place, and work diligently to ensure tasks are correctly completed.

Company Our client was founded in 1969 in Sardinia and through its various operations in Italy, Norway, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany and Bahrain, covers the entire fluorine value chain, from the extraction of fluorspar to HF and its derivative products.Our Client operates an underground Mine just outside Great Hucklow in the Peak District extracting fluorspar ore from a sub-vertical hydrothermal vein hosted in limestones.
