And its why were the UKs No. 1 choice for business waste management.A quick look at the role.Biffa is looking for a Site Supervisor/Lead Operative within the Hazardous Waste Division to be responsible for our site in Burscough, England. The Hazardous Waste Site Supervisor will ensure the site is managed within all legislative requirements, follow company procedures and to ensure the site delivers its targets, both financial and non-financial.The role requires the support and motivation of multi-disciplined staff following company policies and procedures to deliver the targets established, whilst also working within the management team to deliver on Company strategy and customer expectations.Why its an opportunity not to be wasted.

Compliance with environmental permit(s) and associated documentation
Compliance with relevant H&S legislation
Compliance with relevant transport legislation
Motivation and support of staff to ensure consistent operation of the site
Maintenance of the site, plant and equipment to company or supplier specifications
Organisation of services to meet customer needs
Work with existing and new suppliers to aid the operation of the site and development of recycling/disposal options
Support the delivery of targeted profits.

FLT Licence required.
First Aid qualified is ideal.
IOSH.
Confidence in the use of Microsoft Office programmes such as Word, Excel and Power-point.
Experience in the waste industry.
Understands the variability of options for waste recycling/disposal of hazardous wastes.
Experience working within the EA sector guidance best practice guidelines.
Analytical approach to problem solving and implementation of solutions.
Leadership of the site through example setting.
Knowledge of operating an AATF.
