Theseare new/additional roles and will ideally suit someone with a UK freight / Express background. Experience in European Road Freight Operations will be an advantage but not essential. We are happy to train someone less experienced but with the right background.A little bit about the company ... we are not a vehicle filler, but a vehicle finder! We act as a middle man between customers and hauliers, providing a top level customer service. We specialise in general forwarding by road to UK and all Western and EasternEurope, Scandinavia and worldwide destinations by air and sea.Heres the wordy bit .Main PurposeTo provide additional operational assistance to our UK Freight team, allowing further development of Espaces UK freight offering with existing and new customers.Responsible for the delivery of operational activities, in accordance with targets set, to contribute to achievement of the company vision and overall business objectives, reaching targets/KPIs set year on year. Consistently perform to high quality standards.Overall Responsibility and targetsYour main responsibility will be the completion of important daily operation tasks predominantly for UK express freight but to assist on European express freight too.You might approach customers that you know have UK business we can fulfil, develop relationships with our existing customers (including lapsed customers) to win their UK business or find new customers for UK work (possibly from our prospect database).Operations

• Quoting, covering and inputting UK express shipments as well as UK pallets, part loads and full loads on our system
• Assisting UK freight manager and Operations manager with their operational activity and providing cover in both their absences.
• Obtain prices for UK work for prospects of other Sales Executives
• Use of courier exchange and pallet network software (Advantageous to know HX exchange)
• Close monitoring of UK same day shipments. Problem solving, high levels of customer service, confirming collections, deliveries and transit updates for time-critical shipments.
• Ensure effective use of Content Management System (Active Campaign)
• Logging quotes and pro-actively chasing them to convert to shipments.

Service Development

• Helping to create a UK Supplier section for our Ebible, vans up to artics, perhaps by postcode
• Help to source new hauliers and form new partnerships.
• Assist in marketing activity to promote the service by email, mailshot, calls

Sales

• When time permits, making calls to our existing customers to see if they have a UK freight requirement but also cross sell for other depts (European Standard, European Express, Sea and Air).
