Job Description

Are you an experienced plastic injection moulding Tool Setter with team leading experience, then this could be the role for you.A globally operating 1st tier manufacturing company in the automotive sector based near to Cannock are looking to recruit an experienced Tool Setter. You will be able required to manage a cell of injection moulding machines and also lead a team of productionoperators.Benefits:

  • Salary c£29,000 - £32,500 including shift premium, (dependant on experience)
  • Paid O/T
  • 3 shift pattern (6am2pm, 2pm10pm and 10pm6am)
Key tasks of Tool Setter:
  • Obtain 1st off mould for each production start up to check quality etc
  • Complete tool changes against the production plan
  • Ensure 5s standards are adhered to within the cell
  • Check product quality at set test points as per control plans
  • Check and manage the cell OEE performance every few hours
  • Monitor the use of the company quality system within work area
  • Carry out problem solving to solve customer concerns or internal non-conformances
  • Assist in lean manufacturing improvements (SMED, 5s, TPM)
Skills & Experience required of Tool Setter:
  • Experience in managing / improving production performance of injection moulding machines
  • Experience in motivating and developing a production team
  • Demonstratable examples of injection moulding production improvements from previous roles
  • Ideally 5 yrs+ injection moulding experience
  • Work a 3-shift pattern, including minimum 16 hours a month weekend overtime
Education:
  • Formal Education or knowledge in communication, leadership, team working, problem solving, lean manufacturing or quality assurance would be seen as advantageous
  • Basic Computer literacy in word, excel, email etc is required. Further knowledge is advantageous.
  • Ideally qualified in Injection moulding or NVQ Engineering equivalent
