Job Description

Automation Engineer - ManufacturingLocation - BurntwoodSalary - £50k - £60k basic (Dependent on Experience)Permanent PositionAlecto Recruitment is in partnership with a highly successful Manufacturer based in Burntwood, who are actively looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join their existing team.The Role

  • Provide engineering support on shift on all site control systems including PLCs, HMIs and SCADA.
  • Create and develop training manuals, programmes and SOPs to develop engineers in to understanding the systems
  • Reduce downtime and increase line efficiencies
  • Ability to work up designs in CAD
  • Good contacts amongst automation equipment suppliers, including advanced inspection systems
  • Close contact with software engineers and integration engineers
  • Responsible for the safety, legality and quality of all products and processes within the remit of the role.
  • Responsible for the legal duty of care owed to employees and others.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is essential
  • Responsible for understanding the relevant requirements of the health and safety policy.
  • Able to balance complexity with speed of implementation
  • A willingness to learn new things
