Summary The magic is back at Gibside as over a million winkling lights and seasonal sounds fill the air with festive fun. Be part of our exciting festive lights trail at Gibside, giving our visitors a Christmas to remember.This important part-time role is fixed term until the 8th January 2023 to support the delivery of the Christmas at Gibside event with our commercial partners.Over the duration of the event, you will work an average of 2-3 evenings per week from the 1st December, but working days will vary. What its like to work here Situated just outside Gateshead, this 18th century landscape garden and wildlife haven is loved by the local community. The staff welcome people with lots of energy to join this friendly garden landscape, situated on the edge of the city. The Christmas lighttrails began in 2020 and have grown in popularity, attracting tens of thousands of visitors to the event.Click here for more information about this location What youll be doing You will have responsibility for the site management of Gibside. Youll work closely with our partners and NT colleagues to support the smooth and safe running of the Christmas at Gibside event.You will maximise opportunities to communicate the core purpose and work of the National Trust to our visitors and offer them a great welcome. Youll use your strong people skills to establish good working relationships with property colleagues and eventpartners.A key part of this role is to ensure full compliance with relevant organisational systems and procedures, promoting awareness of health and safety and assessing and managing risk to ensure the safe and cost-effective operation of the event at all times,and to deliver a consistently high standard of presentation.
