Prospero Teaching is looking for a resilient and energetic Youth worker to support students in a Secondary SEMH Alternative Provision in Blackburn.The school is for students in Key Stage 2 - Key Stage 4, many of whom have found it difficult to be successful in a mainstream school and some with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school is a provision for a range of needs, including autisticspectrum disorder, Aspergers Syndrome, speech and language difficulties and severe social, emotional and mental health difficulties, for example, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),Class sizes are small with a teaching assistant to support each class. The school differentiates the curriculum to ensure all pupils can access it, for example, by grouping, 1:1 work, teaching style, content of the lesson. For KS2 or KS3 pupils on a short-termplacement, the school have a Nurture provision.The schools personal approach to learning ensures that a unique and stimulating curriculum is created to suit the needs of every individual pupil.
