Job Description

Procurement Manager - Manufacturing / Engineering - LancashireClient DetailsMy client is part of a successful, global organisation. The Lancashire facility is the hub for the European Business and continues to receive investment to help build capacity, capability, and support a growing order book. The role reports to a senior directorwho has been critical to the development of the division.DescriptionAs the Procurement Manager you will be key to the continuous improvement of the teams performance and value to the business. Join at an exciting time as the business unit it set for further changes and growth with the addition of new regions of responsibility.The key challenge will include:

  • Supporting the team to adapt and grow to the increased responsibility
  • Ensure the systems and processes are fit for purpose to allow the team to deliver
  • Development of the supply base (capacity, quality, VA/VE / OTIF)
  • Fostering strong internal relationships to educate teams on the benefit of a strategic supply chain
ProfileThe ideal candidate will be:
  • An engaging Procurement Manager used to driving a positive, performance oriented culture
  • Proven in building strong internal relationships with other disciplines
  • Capable of steering the function through changing organisational and market environments
  • Have a working knowledge of a engineering orientated supply chain (metal fabrications / castings / forgings / machining)
