SALARY: £33,000 - £45,000 + 2 bonuses annuallyLOCATION: Burnley, LancashireHOURS PER WEEK: 37.5 hours. Lunchtime finish on a FridayTHE ROLE:An opportunity for an Electronics Engineer with Embedded Software skills to join a stable electronics business who are offering lots of brand-new design work (from concept stage).You will be joining a medium sized electronics business which has grown to 50 people. The business was founded in 1981, is privately owned and manufacturing still happens onsite in Lancashire.The company is recognised globally for its bespoke sensors designs, which are used in specialist machinery for the commercial sector.The R&D team is currently 3 people and is now looking to grow after impressive company performance (turnover has now reached £5 million and 900,000 units sold annually). This is expected to grow.There has recently been a brand-new office extension, which has doubled the size of the R&D office space. With strong sales and lots of customer enquiries for new designs the R&D team is now looking to expand.In this role you will have opportunity to do lots of brand-new product development. The company specialises in designing bespoke sensors for each of its customers. This means you will be working from concept to manufacture for each customers design specification.You will be working on mixed signal embedded system designs (which comprises of Analogue and Digital technology and small microcontrollers). The sensors you will be developing will also use infrared optics.Aside from having the relevant Hardware and Software skills, you should be an Engineer who enjoys sharing new ideas and has the drive, spark and enthusiasm to help the company continue to progress forward and improve.The company culture welcomes news ideas, and your voice and opinion can truly be heard, where you will have opportunity to make a difference to how things are done.
