Job Description

AREA NURSERY MANAGER Shooting Stars Nurseries are searching for a dynamic, proactive, inspirational & experienced area nursery manager who has a genuine passion for Early Years education and outcomes of the Children in our care, along with the expertise and confidence todeliver and support the sustained development and progress of all our nurseries.As a Shooting Stars Area Manager you will be highly self-motivated and organised, overseeing and leading our Nursery Management teams, staff teams and the operation of our day nursery settings to the highest standards, whilst reporting and supporting thedirectors to ensure the continued success of all settings. You will ensure that the best possible environment and the highest quality of care and Early Years education is delivered at all times, whilst ensuring all legal and statutory requirements are metin accordance with Shooting Stars Nurseries Policies and Procedures.Who are Shooting StarsShooting Stars an award winning, family owned and run group of 7 modern, very well equipped day nurseries across the Midlands, providing high standard childcare for children from 3 months to 5 years old.Our vision is to provide the ultimate in care and early education with a team that share our values & vision. About the roleKey Responsibilities
  • Supporting and leading strategic and operational planning to ensure the success of all SS nursery settings.
  • Supporting each Nursery Management Team to achieve effective leadership and administration
  • Continuously work to monitor assess and improve quality of childcare and education.
  • Overseeing and leading Managers and staff at each nursery to ensure the delivery of all the Companys objectives and goals, and ensuring that policies and procedures are correctly followed in all nurseries.
  • Compliance - Taking a lead role in ensuring that all settings are compliant with all legal and statutory requirements. Ensuring compliance with the Statutory Framework for the EYFS.
  • Training & Development - Leading the Companys training programmes to ensure that the Company is delivering against set goals and objectives and team members readily access continuous professional development and training appropriate to their needs.
  • HRoverseeing all HR functions within the business. Monitor and support management staff performance in line with specific job descriptions and liaise with directors if any concerns arise.
  • Recruitment - Overseeing and ensuring that appropriate levels of qualified/unqualified staff are maintained and that Nursery Managers are consistently proactive in recruiting relief staff. Overseeing recruitment and retention of staff at all levels.
  • Health and safety - adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures and monitor other staff members performance.
  • Work with Nursery Managers and inspectors during inspections by regulatory bodies and to assist in the implementation of any recommendations.Ensuring a robust safeguarding culture is maintained throughout all settings. Ensuring knowledge, understandingand deli
