Job Description

Our ambitious and exciting vision is to work at local, national and international levels, leading innovation and sustainable development in agriculture and rural sectors.We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Work Based Learning Instructor to work with the Agricultural Programme Team Leader in contributing to the coordination & delivery of Agriculture Work Based Learning Programmes at the Aberdeen Campus. The postholderwill deliver practical vocational skills training to Agriculture Work Based Learning student and will work with the Work Based Learning Manager and administrator in the co-ordination and delivery of efficient project support processes, in line with appropriateproject and SRUC policies, procedures and SDS Operational Rules. Duties will include:

  • Liaise with the relevant funding bodies as appropriate with all enquiries regarding project recording and documentation
  • Complete participant recruitment & enrolment/registration documentation following project guidelines
  • Compiles and provides all necessary supporting project documentation
  • Make timely information requests to other colleagues or departments to ensure the effective delivery and reporting of the project
  • Co-ordinate project records according to the project and/or organisational guidelines
  • Ensure all compliance reports and records are maintained, readily available and that statutory obligations are maintained
  • Ensure all internal and external communications are answered in a timely, effective and customer focussed manner
  • Delivering programmes of education, training, instruction and assessment, which will include practical vocational skills Conducting student assessment in accordance with Awarding Body standards both at the Aberdeen campus and other host farms
  • Maintain and update training materials to meet current vocational standards, practice and legislation
  • Maintaining appropriate records of attendance, teaching and assessment
  • Attending internal and external meetings as required
  • Effectively manage own workload and diary
  • Updating of personal skills and qualifications
