Job Description

Programme Team Leader in Rural Business ManagementSRUC Craibstone campus, Aberdeen£45,581 to £48,955 per annum (under review) REF: ANF/RLU/007/22SRUC is unique in Scotland and one of the largest organisations of its kind in Europe. Our ambitious and exciting vision is to work at local, national and international levels, leading innovation and sustainable development in agriculture and rural sectors.We are looking for an enthusiastic academic to lead a highly respected programme in Rural Business Management. You will work with the Head of Department in managing the Core Academic Team in the planning, development, preparation and delivery of high-qualityeducation provision within the RBM curriculum framework. Candidates should have strengths in rural business management and entrepreneurship (specific research interests and skills may include, but not limited to, food supply chain management, operations management,digitalisation, resilience and sustainability). Additionally, knowledge of new developments in the current rural sector would be advantageous, as well as fostering strong links with local, national and international industry. Ideally, the successful applicantwill be experienced in FE and/or HE delivery, combined with a drive to impact positively on todays industry.The successful applicant will also ideally have a track record of research in a related field. SRUC is seeking a closer alignment of its research and education activities and it is hoped that the successful applicant will contribute to world class researchcarried out within SRUC on terms of grant income and publication output. You will grasp the opportunity to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations and ambitions that will build on current strengths within the department, and across the institution.In August 2022, all academic roles will be assimilated to a new job families structure.
