The Crop Trials Service undertakes research that is intended to underpin the development of resilient and sustainable systems of crop production that are economicallyviable, but also environmentally and socially acceptable. The postholder will work under the supervision of the Team and will provide support and assist the Trials Officer in all tasks for delivering field trials.In order to be considered for this role, candidates should have a basic knowledge of arable crops. In addition, knowledge in the use and maintenance of farm machinery as well as previous experience working with arable crops is essential. Due to the natureof the activities, an interest in potatoes, grass and arable land production is desirable.Occasional evening and weekend work will be required at peak crop sowing and harvesting periods.
