Job Description

Senior People Business Partner - Interim (12m)We are delighted to be working with this iconic brand to find them an inspirational Interim Senior People Business Partner for 12months to cover maternity.Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, this is an exciting role, in a business, which really values its staff and puts people at the heart of all that they do.In this role you will contribute to the development of the People Strategy, to support both the demands of business growth and their goal of becoming an exceptional place to work. Youll be excited by change, using your network to find new ways of doingthings that challenge the HR status quo. Collaborating with the Head of Comms & Engagement, Head of Learning & Development, and Head of People & Culture, youll ensure that people initiatives are brought to life across all areas of the business.You will partner the Senior Leadership Team to provide a link between local business plans and the People Strategy that will keep staff experience, engagement, retention and development as high priorities. Managing a team of two, youll aim to achieve consistencyof experience and growth for all.This role will support the People Team and wider business in delivering some exciting projects that will really help to make them an outstanding place to work, while being commercially successful. This will include some large, complex change projects, whichwill need great project management skills and the ability to engage stakeholders.Although there will be some opportunity for hybrid working, most of the People Team work most days on site, so you would need to live within reasonable commuting distance.Key Deliverables

  • Sponsoring, leading, driving and ensuring the delivery of complex business change projects, ensuring alignment with the People Strategy and plan, and the realisation of the business objectives.
  • Helping to build management and leadership capabilities across all sites, to ensure we get the best out of people and help them reach their potential.
  • Working with the Head of L&D to identify development opportunities for the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Supporting Senior Leadership Team members to identify and develop their own successors, as well as sponsoring and supporting high potentials that could progress into other areas of the business.
  • Supporting the development of appropriate skills, knowledge, and behaviours across the business to ensure we are in the best place to attract and retain the best talent.
  • Working with the Head of Comms & Engagement to set the approach for creating survey action plans.
  • Manage and coach a team of two People Business Partners to deliver exceptional quality and impact.
Person Specification
  • Strong HR experience across a broad range of HR functions
  • Experience of business process changes and a proven track record of successful delivery with demonstrable organisational design experience.
  • Commercially astute and able to see the bigger picture and find ways around problems to reach the best outcome for the long-term success of the business.
  • Ideally CIPD level 7 qualified, however, experience will also be considered.
  • Commercially astute, you always ensure you have in depth understanding of the businesses you have worked within and can evidence adding significant value through the implementation and delivery of innovative change and cultural transformation projects.
  • What is most important is your positive energy, your ability to build trust and a passion for helping people be the best they can be.

  • Comfortable playing a strategic and influential part in building the people business plan alongside the Head of People and Culture, with the gravitas to drive change.
  • Courage to challenge in a way that is constructive and aligned to values.
  • Able to engage and coach managers whilst challenging thinking style and ways of working.
  • You will enjoy making things happen and driving change.
