This involves delivering sometimes complex strategic messages in an engaging and understandable way. You will need to develop and curate content by engaging with co-owners from across Riverford, bringing stories to life and delivering creative messaging which motivates, engages and inspires our co-owners.You will need to enjoy a fast-paced environment, with multiple work streams running at the same time and tight deadlines. You will have a passion for internal communications and engagement, and how it enables co-owners and contributes to the success of the business; this is particularly important in an employee-owned business.Internal Communications Specialist Responsibilities:- You will manage the weekly communication plan and be responsible for the content creation for our weekly communication cycle and channels- Build relationships with co-owners at all levels across the business to produce inspiring stories which align with our strategic communication priorities- Have an ear to the ground and know what matters to co-owners, ensuring this is reflected in our communication plans- Support our governance bodies to engage with wider co-owners to keep them up to date with current business focuses- You will design and deliver a number of strategic internal communication campaigns in partnership with project managers. These will not be your normal campaigns; they will need to be in a Riverford style, and really appeal and engage a wider audience- Support the Engagement Manager to ensure all of our co-owner core material is kept up to date i.e. co-owner handbook, benefits and wellbeing book etc., and be a key stakeholder in the development and content curation of our Co-owner Annual Report- Input into the internal communications strategy, being proactive in reviewing our communications and evaluating impactSkills & experience:- Experience in a communication role. This doesn’t necessarily have to be in internal communications, it could be in marketing, PR or other writing roles- Great communication skills with a passion for writing and gathering content- Proven record of delivering internal communications initiatives in an environment where e-communications aren’t always available- Although this role will regularly work in partnership with our Marketing Design team, you will need to have the ability to do basic design- Experience of designing and delivering large scale communications campaigns- A great writer, with experience of making complex information accessibleWe are looking for a people person with a real creative spark to think outside the box and come up with ideas that are really on brand and a little different to the norm.
