Job Description

Customer Service Team MemberWash Barn, Buckfastleigh, DevonSalary: £20,592 per annumThis is a permanent position, working up to 40 hours per week, within the operating hours stated below, however, for the right candidate 32 hours will also be considered:Operating hours: 8:30am - 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 5pm Bank Holidays and Saturdays (there is a rota system for shifts worked).About RiverfordEvery week, Riverford delivers organic food to around 85,000 homes and businesses across the UK. We receive questions, orders, and the occasional complaint via phone, email, live webchat and social media - and always offer a rapid, friendly and professional response.You’ll need to share our enthusiasm for good food produced by good farming and be confident in communicating that enthusiasm. You’ll also need to be willing to develop your knowledge of food, farming and cooking. Friendly and helpful, we want you to leave a positive impression of Riverford and the service we offer with everyone you speak to. You’ll need to be confident with IT as you will update our customer database as you go.Customer Service Team Member Responsibilities:- To handle enquiries from existing customers about all aspects of their relationship with us - looking always to extend their understanding of what we offer- To handle enquiries from potential customers and encourage conversion to orders, using our bespoke customer database- To liaise with our network of franchisees answering questions, helping whenever necessary and jointly delivering the best possible customer service- Re-contact customers who have left messages on the overnight answer phone and respond to customer and franchisee emails- To handle customer complaints and queries and liaise with relevant franchisees and departments to obtain a successful outcomeSkills & experience:- Previous experience of working in an administrative or customer focussed role is essential- Excellent communicator with good standard of spoken English and a desire to help customers- Confident in meeting targets- Good team player, and ability to work on own initiative- Organised with excellent attention to detail- Be a people person and have confidence to make outbound calls- Team player, good sense of humour, polite and helpful disposition, hardworking, efficient and organisedA good sense of humour and friendly personality is essential, along with a flexible approach to work.
