You’ll play a big part in our brand aim to help and inspire customers cooking at home with their veg box.You’ll spend a good amount of your time developing and writing recipes which are heavily focused on seasonal fruit and veg. These recipes will be used on our website, social media, for PR, in emails and in other places.We want to be known as the experts in veg, so having a chef who portrays our enthusiasm and knowledge is really important. You will be a recognisable face of Riverford and regularly featured on our social channels and elsewhere, so must be comfortable with this.Creative Development Chef Responsibilities:- Recipe development- Recipe writing in our house style- Sourcing and organising ingredients for recipe testing and shoots- Presenting and cooking on camera- Acting as our go-to person when it comes to food and cooking knowledgeSkills & Experience:- Experience working professionally as a chef or recipe writer is essential- Candidates should have an in-depth knowledge of food and cooking and ideally, fruit and veg- The ability to cook and write vegetable-focused recipes, which only occasionally include meat- Experience of presenting on camera, or the confidence to do so if no prior experience- Food styling experience is preferable but not essential- Basic photography skills are preferableThis is a great opportunity for a chef who has a passion for quality ingredients; you’ll work with organic produce straight from the fields. Our food is simple, but really tasty - your dishes should be a showcase for the best seasonal veg.
