Job Description

Focused Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our clients global manufacturing site in the Ebbw Vale area.OverviewInvestigation of customer complaints and internal CAPAs and NCs. Quality inspection utilising laboratory equipment to ensure manufacture of product to meet customer specifications and delivery date.Hours of work:Working Monday to Friday 8:30am - 17:00pmDuties and Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and support other departments in the investigation of customer complaints, CAPAs & NCs
  • Carrying out QC testing on production and updating the QPDC database accordingly
  • Assist the Product Development & Engineering teams to ensure all product development & validations are carried out to the required standard.
  • Support Quality Technician as required in carrying out his daily tasks and to act as holiday cover.
  • Facilitate FMEA & root cause analysis activities as required
  • Review and amend QMS documentation e.g. procedures, WIs, Test Methods as required
  • Lead or facilitate CAPA projects as required and coach Team leaders on CAPA process
  • Carry out test method validation activities
  • Deputise for the Quality & Regulatory Manager as required
Experience and Qualifications:
  • A formal qualification in quality e.g. CQI Certificate in Quality is preferred
  • Previous experience in a quality engineering role in the medical device, IVD or pharmaceutical sectors would be advantageous.
  • Use of quality tools & techniques e.g. root cause analysis, DoE
  • Statistical analysis methodology
  • Ability to self-manage time and workload
  • Good communication skills, both written & oral
