Job Description

Slater and Gordon are a leading consumer law firm which provides a broad range of specialist legal and complementary services. We are undergoing a huge transformation across all areas of the business, with a focus on people and technology, and our mission is to give people easier access to our world class legal services.Due to continued success we are currently looking for a number of Legal Advisors (LPC or equivalent qualified) to join the Legal Advice Team in our Liverpool office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to start their legal career and gain experience in one of the UK’s largest consumer law firms.Hours - Candidates must be able to work a variety of shift patterns which will include a night shift. Responsibilities:

  • Providing legal advice on a broad spectrum of the law including family/matrimonial matters, consumer issues, property, employment law, wills and probate
  • Primary point of contact for numerous trade unions
  • Registering new motor accident claims
  • Liaising with different insurers and third parties
  • Understanding the needs of clients and providing a high level of customer service
  • Conducting legal research for all queries which cannot be answered immediately
  • Managing enquiries from existing clients regarding the progress of their enquiry using bespoke databases.
  • Candidates must be able to work both day and night shifts for example 7am-7pm and 7pm to 7am.

  • To apply for this role, you must be LPC qualified or equivalent
  • Experience in legal research on legal databases such as PLC
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
