Job Description

Do you have previous costs drafting experience Do you have good knowledge of CPR and have the ability to build strong relationships If so, then we may have the perfect role for you!We have an exciting opportunity for a Costs Draftsperson to join Slater and Gordon, where you will be responsible for preparing indemnity schedules during litigation, and bills of costs for clients.About Slater and GordonSlater and Gordon are a leading consumer law firm, and our mission is to give people easier access to world class legal services.   • Dealing with Solicitor to own client costs cases / advising on client contributions to legal costs
  • Drafting of bills of costs / indemnity schedules
  • Dealing with Fixed Costs disputes
  • Preparing points of dispute/replies
  • Provide costs advice/guidance to fee earners as and when required
  • Conducting negotiations
  • To liaise and advise fee earners and support staff in relation to a variety of costs matters
About You:
  • Hands-on, with a can-do attitude, demonstrating drive, discipline, patience and flexibility
  • High degree of accuracy, excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail, but capable of identifying and resolving wider issues.
  • Well organised with an ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands effectively.
  • Clear and influential communicator, able to address different types of audiences in appropriate ways, both written and verbal.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for providing a high standard of client service and an ability to promote a positive attitude.
