Job Description

Slater and Gordon are a leading consumer law firm which provides a broad range of specialist legal and complementary services. We are undergoing a huge transformation across all areas of the business, with a focus on people and technology, and our mission is to give people easier access to our world class legal services.We have an exciting opportunity for a number of Business Analyst to join our expanding transformation team in the Northwest. Supporting our fantastic team of Project Manger’s to drive technological transformation, you will play a key part in delivering continuous improvement for various business projects.We believe that location should not stop us from attracting top talent within the industry. You will ideally be Northwest based for this role and live within a commutable distance of our Liverpool and Manchester offices for when you need to collaborate with your team.Responsibilities:

  • Translating business requirements to technology teams
  • Supporting the business in getting ready to fully utilise new ways of working and new systems.
  • Undertaking research and provide business analysis, drawing on internal and external markets
  • Providing objective and factual analysis, design and requirements, establishing best practice, compliant and consistent end to end processes
  • Providing effective facilitation of workshops, preparing materials, identifying stakeholders required and identifying objectives
  • Taking forward process re-engineering and requirements gathering methodologies working with SME, process owners and impacted teams to obtain sign off
  • Providing analysis on costs and benefits for options and solutions, building business cases to support informed business decision making
  • Working with key stakeholders to develop viable change solutions ensuring that opportunities to learn, create efficiency or add control are identified and proposed
  • Providing an interface across the business to establish relevant existing project and create activity links, to avoid duplication of effort and resource
    • About You:
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a fast paced commercial business.
  • Previous exposure to Automation, Finance Modelling or Data integrity experience is highly desirable
  • Experience of process design/re-engineering, requirements gathering and impact assessments
  • Experience of data analysis and data mapping
  • Knowledge of project life cycles, project delivery and change planning.
  • Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Workshop preparation and facilitation experience
  • Previously Led or supported User Acceptance Testing
  • Solutions focused with a can do approach
  • Self-starter, pro-active and enjoys a fast paced environment
  • Strong Microsoft office skils, particularly excel and Visio technical skills.
