This is a great opportunity for an individual who wants to join a small but fast-growing company that is committed to staff development. Burton Safes specialises in the manufacture, distribution and installation of physical security solutions. It was foundedin 1990 has grown to become one of the leading suppliers of safes and secure storage solutions in the UK.We dont currently have any in-house IT team and are relying on external support partners for IT Support and development. However, we are now looking to bring in an internal IT Manager to manage and develop the Groups internal IT system. There is a strongdesire to get better value from current systems and to improve the quality of management information that they can produce. There is also a desire to use IT to improve processes and efficiencies within the business. The IT Manager will work closely with thesenior management to identify and implement positive changes to develop the business.This is an exciting time to join Burton Safes. We have significant growth and investment plans for the future, and that growth will present opportunities for the IT Manager to develop further responsibilities as the company grows and evolves. The right candidatewill enjoy working in a small business and the varying level of responsibilities that come with that. In the immediate future the business will be moving to a new premises and the IT Manager will play an important part in managing the IT side of the project, with support from our external IT support company.The role will be largely office based in the Group Head Office at Holmfirth, but you must also be willing to travel to the other office in Leeds, and occasionally be willing to travel nationally and internationally to meet with suppliers and customers andcomplete installations as required.Specifically, you will be required to:
