Job Description

Plant ManagerLocation: BrinsworthSalary: £60,000 - £65,000 DOE + Bonus + Car allowance! Immediate start available!As the UKs largest provider and industry leader of everything gas cylinder related, this is the next pivotal hire and one that will see you running/managing all filling and handling at one of their busiest sites.The OpportunityThis is a unique role whereby you will be working closely with your own team both new and existing where you will take a hands-on approach instilling best practice and a customer first approach. Furthermore, collaboration with other Plant Managers is a keyarea of the business where nurturing and developing relationships is an area that is being actively promoted.The RoleAs the Plant Manager for the Brinsworth operation you will:

  • Manage all cylinder filling & handling activities at the site ensuring; safe, efficient and cost-effective management of site personnel and services provided to customers both internally and externally
  • You will ensure compliance with COMAH Regulations and Health & Safety legislation
  • Primary contact with the HSE and all external authorities and agencies
  • Provide a safe and fulfilling environment, for all employees based at the Branch
  • Ensure current and future codes of practice and standards are applied and adhered to, whilst ensuring that all cylinder filling & handling activities are met
  • Ensure stock accuracy and control procedures are implemented fully
  • Continuously seek operational improvements
  • Proactively support and upskill colleagues
Our Ideal CandidateAt this stage in your career you will be well versed in managing teams with a multitude of skill sets and a range of abilities. Having industry knowledge of gasses and how the operation behind a filling plant works is certainly advantageous. With core valuesaround: Safety, Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion and Community these will ideally align with your own set. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of managing a standalone plant along with the following skill sets:
  • A HNC or HND qualification
  • NEBOSH/IOSH certificate
  • Significant experience of cylinder filling & handling operations
  • Good experience of people management and developing others
  • Experience working with recognised Trade Union
  • And finally, you have a knowledge of ISO9001:2008 – ISO14001 operating procedures and systems
