Job Description

Purchasing ManagerBridgend£40,000 - £45,000Yolk Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Purchasing Manager to join a high tech engineering and technology business overseeing all purchasing activities and leading a small purchasing and warehouse team.This is what youll be doing

  • Lead contact for external partners on all purchasing matters
  • Developing and improving purchasing and materials practices
  • Management of the ERP system to ensure timely delivery of components to production
  • Purchasing from approved suppliers at optimal terms
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy and maintaining appropriate spare part stock levels
  • KPI reporting to reduce costs and improve efficiencies
  • Supplier and key supply partner relationship management
  • Reducing procurement lead time
  • Reviewing supplier base and introducing new suppliers in line with quality, cost and delivery goals
  • Manage personnel, including staff development and training
And what youll bring to the team
  • Leadership experience in a Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain role
  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Negotiation skills
  • Supplier management skills
