Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Service Charge Accountant, for our client located in North London. The right person will be joining their Finance Team, and reporting directly to the Finance Manager. The successful candidate will have demonstrable accountingknowledge, proificient with the full cycle of Service Charge accounts as well as finance experience. In return they offer a fantastic work environment and remmuneration.Salary £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

  • Assist with setting up new properties on the system and handovers.
  • Liaise with our accountant to resolve queries.
  • Assist Property Manager with budget reviews.
  • Raise periodic service charge demands and ad hoc recharges to tenants.
  • Liaise with external parties including clients, tenants, suppliers to resolve queries.
  • Assist with annual audits.
  • Assist with collection of service charge arrears.
  • Prepare client reports.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare income and expenditure reports and associated documents to be sent to the accountant for preparation of service charge accounts.
  • Accountable for ensuring year end service charge accounts are completed on time.
  • Ad hoc projects within the Accounts team.
Experience/skills required:
  • Must have of service charges accounting work experience in previous position
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Previous experience of using Qube a significant advantage
  • Work well as a team member, demonstrating excellent communication skills
