Could this be youAbout the Role:The Granary is one of Voyage Care’s first residential homes located in Brandesburton. Here we support up to 12 older individuals, with learning disabilities, healthcare needs and mild challenging behaviour. We are looking for support workers to join our long-standing staff team, to provide excellent care and support, to the people who live here.As a superhero “Support Worker” you will deliver support with all aspects of everyday living to encourage their independence and support them to lead the most fulfilling life possible, incorporating both therapy and social based activities. The people we support enjoy spending time outdoors and love a cream tea in the afternoon.Whilst no two days are the same typically, you’ll help the people we support with everyday challenges such as encouraging and prompting personal cares, meal preparation, housekeeping, medication, attending health appointments and taking part in hobbies & activities. Crucially, enabling them to carry out tasks, chores and hobbies that most people take for granted but are meaningful to the people we support.We have a full time or part time contracts available to work predominantly days (8am till 3pm & 3pm till 10pm/ long days are also available) and this would include working alternate weekends and bank holidays. A car driver is preferable although not essential, providing you can get to the service and get home safely.
