Job Description

We are looking for an Accountant to join a vibrant, forward-thinking team based in Stockport. This full-time role comes with a basic salary between £30,000-35,000 and fantastic benefits that includes:

The company has been running for 15 years and handles account, tax and payroll needs for small to medium sized businesses.You will be required to deliver a structured service to our customers. Your duties will include the following:
  • Working on a diverse portfolio of clients including small and medium owner managed businesses
  • Working as part of a team and reporting to managers and clients
  • Preparing accounts from a variety of records, using different software packages as required within specified budget timescale
  • Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts when required
  • Assist with training of junior team members
  • Helping and ensuring the team hit SLAs
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end accounts
  • Speak to clients regarding budgets, cash flow and projections.
To succeed in this job, you must have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.A full AAT Qualification or Accounting and Finance degree is essential. An ACCA part-qualified accountant with a minimum B in Mathematics GCSE would be ideal.
