We are now part of the NEC corporation, a leader in the integration of IT and network technologies that benefit businesses and people worldwide – this brings in new opportunities without limits for growth and innovation.Job DescriptionThe role can be based within any of our Bracknell or Hemel Hempstead OfficesJob Description Operations ManagerThe IT Operations Manager will take responsibility for the newly formed Tech Operations (Tech Ops) This is a multi discipline team consisting of Wintel, Unix and Network engineers. Tech Ops team are responsible for processing Incidents, service requests, changes, and problem records associated with a single customer.As part of this role you will be reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager of Technology Operations. This is a fast paced team and you will have exposure to a wide range of technologies so this is a fantastic opportunity for the right person.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Team Management a hands-on approach is expected and you will be required to day to day manage all colleagues of the Tech Ops team
  • Responsible for conducting individual performance reviews
  • To act as single point of contact for IT issues within the organisation
  • To work with Client Service Managers (CSM) to deliver best in class service
  • To deliver resolution of all incidents and service requests within the agreed SLA/OLA
  • To implement all changes request assigned to Tech Ops within the agreed a SLAs with a focus on quality impact assessment
  • To participate in problem resolution
  • To work with other organisational managers/leaders on driving down recurring issues
  • To be responsible for the individual Incident, Change and Problem service management queues
  • Prioritising workloads and focus on the critical deliveries for the organisation
  • Act as a deputy as and when required
  • QualificationsEssential
  • Must have a great attitude and self drive to deliver best in class services
  • Previous experience as a team lead or manager
  • Experience in various technologies Wintel, Unix and Networks would be a significant advantage
  • Experience of service management and support in a large-scale and diverse environment.
  • Must be an effective communicator
  • Must have an analytical approach to managing a service
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills
  • Must be willing to obtain SC and NPPV security clearances
