Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Media Analyst to join a growing Consumer Goods company in a newly formed role. The company have exciting plans for expansion and this position has been created due to growth. We are therefore looking for someone who is confident, highly motivated and keen to make an impact, who would relish the chance to work as part of an entrepreneurial team and who can help drive the business forward.The role will take overall responsibility for all paid media channels except for Paid Social, including digital display, TV, press, radio and Amazon media, and will work closely with the Digital Manager on Search. This role will lead media planning and buying as well as measurement and reporting, owning all media planning, campaign execution and performance tracking. You will have the opportunity to really shape the direction of this growing businesss media coverage.A key responsibility will be to convert complex data into easy to digest reports, ideally transforming the various sources of live data and static reports into a single live dashboard which enables data driven decision making. Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the evaluation of medial channel performance, cost and efficiency
  • Manage data insight including Nielsen tracking
  • Measure, report on and optimise always on campaigns across Amazon display and search, Google display and search and any other ongoing digital advertising initiatives, aggregating data into digestible reports and dashboards
  • Work alongside the Social Media Manager and others in the team to craft campaigns that pull users through the funnel
  • Manage the media agency, ensuring that all creative is on brand and that product information is correct
  • Work with parent company in order to maximise media buying opportunities and ensure synergy between brands
  • Ensure continuous innovation in channel strategy and tactics to reach and engage the target audience
  • Work with local sales teams and local marketing leads to drive local insight and localisation approvals
  • Turn competitor spend and activation knowledge into strategic initiatives
  • Key skills and experience
  • Experienced Media Analyst / Media Planning Manager, confident recommending media plans with clear justifications to the leadership team
  • Experienced with complex problem solving, analyzing data and presenting conclusions effectively, demonstrating fluency with brand measurement metrics and analytics
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of media costing and efficiency
  • Understand audience definitions and efficacy
  • Proficient in data analysis tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Ability to work effectively at both the strategic and operational levels
  • Excellent analytical brain, good at spotting trends or anomalies in data
  • Enthusiastic and high energy individual with a strong drive to collaborate
  • Ability to work in multi-national and multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to motivate agency partners and continuously drive improved performance
