Temporary Quality Control Operator | £11.79 to £12.54 per hour | Bottesford, LeicesterMonday – Thursday 07:15-16:00 Friday 05:15-14:00A vacancy has arisen for a QC Operator at a prestigous production site based in Bottesford. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the role will ideally be suited to an individual used to working in a fast-moving multi-disciplined role. Due to the natureof the business and the responsibility of your job role your flexibility to work additional hours, weekends and shifts during seasonal periods may be requestedWhat were looking for:- Have an organised approach to working through multiple production activities- Be an excellent communicator with a good standard of spoken and written English- Be assertive and confident- Have a good level of computer knowledge and computer systems- Have an organised and logical approach to planning the days objectives- Be able to work on your own initiative- Be able to work in a teamThe finer elements of the role include:- Calibration checks of scales, metal detectors/checkweighers and manual thermometers (where necessary) - Metal detection operation- Checking compliance of delivered and packed products to specifications reporting any issues to QA Supervisor- Inputting of data onto the QA / NAV systems- Preparation of production sample kits- Logging on and organization of production samples for micro and chemistry evaluation- Hygienic sampling of incoming products- Manage product retests- Co- ordinate and present trace exercises where required- Practice continuous improvement within the department- Assist with development of systems and controls and paperwork reduction- To be involved in foreign body and complaint investigations- Carry out periodic environmental swabbing /auditing/and shelf-life sample evaluationCherry Professional are recruiting for this opportunity on behalf of our client.
