General hours of work are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 8.30am to 5pm.Why Highway Resource Solutions (HRS)Highway Resource Solutions (HRS) was established in 2011, following the death of a Road Worker in Lincolnshire, UK. Our technology platform uses the latest 4G/IoT communications, high precision GNSS, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Cloud services.Therefore, as an Embedded Firmware Engineer you will work on a range of innovative IoT applications around smart connected products. You will be working with an experienced engineering team to develop new products from the conceptual design stage, rightup to customer field trials and mass production.This is a hands-on role, where you will be expected to design, implement and test new designs, along with upgrades to existing products.What good looks like for an Embedded Firmware EngineerThis technical role also includes managing and developing:
  • A range of sub 1GHz radio technologies, based on the Texas Instrument range of microprocessors (eg CC1312).
  • Experience with development tools such as Kiel and TI Code Composer Studio (CCS) is essential,
  • A strong understanding of low powered local radio network technologies and configuration toolsets.
  • Experience of Azure DevOps and Continuous Integration (CI) environments would be advantageous.
