Job Description

Belvoir Fruit Farms Ltd is a manufacturer of premium soft drinks. The Company is a medium sized family owed organisation that prides itself on quality, honesty and great tasting products. Due to internal promotion, we are looking to recruit an experienced, permanent Accounts Assistant who will work within a small accounts team, reporting to the Finance Controller, and be based in our office in Bottesford.The Accounts Assistant is a key role and is responsible for a range of activities across month end accounting, cash flow forecasting and control of the bank accounts and payments, and various tasks to ensure the company is in compliance with tax and other obligations.Principal responsibilities:Month end ActivitiesSupporting the Financial Controller to produce the monthly management accounts on time:

  • Prepare Finished Goods stock reconciliation and analysis as required
  • Calculation of month end Finished Goods stock provision
  • Calculate Accruals & Prepayments and post journals
  • Prepare and distribute cost centre reports showing results against budget
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required
  • Assistance with year-end audit, including preparation of analysis and dealing with questions
  • Cash, Bank and Payment ActivitiesEnsuring the weekly cash flow forecast is accurate and managing the bank accounts and payments:
  • Prepare weekly cashflow forecast on time and accurately
  • Management of monthly payment runs to suppliers
  • Overseeing bank reconciliations, ad-hoc payments & intercompany account transfers
  • Management of all bank accounts, credit cards and liaising with HSBC as required
  • Compliance and reportingPreparing the tax and other reporting required to ensure the company is compliant with the relevant obligations:
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns & EC Sales List on time and accurately
  • Prepare P11D calculation & submissions on time and accurately
  • Compiling information and submission of Government Statistics on time and accurately
  • Management of car fleet information and fuel cards
  • Liaising with Insurance Broker on day to day queries, claims and support annual renewal process
  • Production of Accounts for Farming Company, including raising Farm sales invoices & update of purchases on Gatekeeper software
  • Ideally, the role is full-time, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, however flexible working hours will be considered for all candidates.
