Summary Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team this role as a Welcome & Service Assistant, plays a core part in providing fantastic customer service in combination with care of the castle.This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year What its like to work here The Batemans and Bodiam Castle portfolio consists of two very different properties run by one passionate team.Bodiam Castle is an impressive 14th century moated castle and one of the most famous castles in Britain. The spiral staircases and original features make for an ever-inspiring atmosphere with a strong spring and summer business appealing to tourists, familiesand school groups from the UK and overseas.Ten miles away in Burwash nestles Batemans, the former home of Rudyard Kipling. This 17th century house remains much the same as the world-famous writer left it. Batemans has a real family feel, with a team who will give you a warm welcome. The gardenand landscape at Batemans provided the inspiration for Rudyards mythical tales in Puck of Pooks Hill and Rewards and Fairies.Nestled in a peaceful corner of East Sussex with beautiful surrounding, this is a great place to live and work. What youll be doing As the largest conservation charity in Europe we work hard to raise funds, so that we can continue to care for all the heritage in our trust. Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so youll be responsible for ensuring that you provide an excellent serviceto all our visitors, every day.Youll be working as part of a welcome team with the majority of your time spent in the medieval castle itself. This will mean working outside all year round with your focus being on a great visitor welcome and the high presentation standard of the castle, including the conservation care cleaning.As a Welcome & Service Assistant, its your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of the day.Working with our spirit of place youll work with the visitor welcome team to link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do.Youll deliver high standards of presentation at the property and ensure that every visitor has a great experience.
