Job Description Project Engineer This is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking Renewable Energy Company as a Project Engineer. We specialising in commercial & industrial PV, Electric vehicle charging and battery backup systems. Our in-house consultancy and installation teams manageprojects from end-to-end, ensuring the best outcome and service. With over 15 years of experience in the renewable energy market, we are pleased to announce that we are expanding our existing team.Responsibilities:

Interpret design specifications, technical and electrical drawings.
Create CAD drawings of survey measurements and general arrangement/electrical drawings for design and construction.
Apply a high standard of attention to detail and focus on technical sign off process.
Produce product/technical documentation for internal and external use, as well as technical reports.
Liaise with third parties including DNO, customer representatives etc. regarding installation and commissioning.
Compliance- ensure that we are up to date with grid regulations, building control and with new legislation.

Projects

Oversee small to medium size projects and ensure projects are completed according to project plans.
Schedule preparation, pre-planning and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities relating to projects.
Review equipment proposals and evaluating or selecting equipment and preparing various lists, such as equipment and materials lists.
Assure the accuracy of financial forecasts, which tie-in to project schedules.

Sales / Tendering / Consultancy

Prepare technical proposals and reports for bids and tenders.
Undertake site visits to perform technical surveys and oversee aspects of installations.
Perform feasibility calculations and write specifications.
Produce customer familiarisation documentation.
Support customers and maintenance team providing expert advice to carry out both preventive and reactive maintenance.

Requirements:Qualifications / Technical

BEng or BSc in an Engineering subject - Specialisation in Energy/Renewables/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Excellent IT skills (incl. MS Office and general Windows troubleshooting skills) and ability to learn new specialist software.
Advanced Excel skills and ability to utilise/maintain spreadsheet based tools.
General understanding of Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering principles.
Experience with AutoCAD LT and PVSyst/PVSol or similar would be advantageous.
Knowledge and experience in drawing up electrical schematics, layouts and single line diagrams using suitable CAD packages.
Experience in performing hands-on work would be advantageous.
