Job Description

We are a family run business that has been operating since 2004. We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join us. The ideal candidate will be , knowledgeable, very well organised, positive, enthusiastic, and interested in supporting the Directorsthrough sound financial management. We have a great work culture that is meaningful.Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience of Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Full Management Accounts analysis and presentation
  • Project Costing experience
  • Profit and Loss Accounts compilation
  • Good understanding and use of I.T Systems and high level of knowledge of Information Technology
  • Vast experience in accounts payable processes and credit control
  • Production of monthly management accounts including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation
  • Approving and processing company payments to suppliers
  • Budgeting and month-end forecasting
  • Dealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts.
  • Preparing payroll, VAT and HMRC processes.
  • Managing an end-to-end audit process of current systems - while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors.
  • Knowledge of international payments systems, FX
  • Other office duties as required
The Person:
  • ACCA Certified accountancy Technician (AAT Equivalent)
  • High level of numeracy, written and spoken English
  • Excellent management skills (essential)
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Able to use own initiative, adaptable and enthusiastic in approach
  • Excellent staff motivation and development skills
  • Enjoys challenges and working to identify and implement new solutions
