Job Title: Lighting Technician MateSalary: £21,559 + Benefits Location: Looking for person to be based in Northern Glasgow around Cumbernauld, Bishopbriggs, Kirkintillock, Robroyston and Stepps Areas but role will involve travel throughout Scotland and down to Blackpool - they are looking for someone based in Northern Glasgow as you will be working with a Lighting Technician and they live in Northern GlasgowTHE COMPANYWe are looking to recruit a Lighting Technician Mate within Asda retail stores for a large and dynamic Facilities Management company who provide hard and soft services across the Asda business. Established in 1985 the company can provide excellent opportunities in development and career growth.JOB PURPOSE:To assist the Lighting Technician with planned lighting maintenance and emergency repair work in designated Asda stores to pre-determined standards whilst complying with the Company Health and Safety policy. The role will involve travelling to ASDA stores throughout Scotland and part of the North West of England down to Blackpool. The role will involve daily travel and occasional overnight stays. On average you will be required to stay away from home on average 4 nights a month.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES·To represent the company in a professional and competent manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with the IST’s (In Store Technicians) and Asda colleagues.·To assist the Lighting Technician with all aspects of planned maintenance and emergency repair work.·In the absence of the Lighting Technician, to respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk, to assess the requirements of the job, to carry out any repairs which he/she is qualified to make and to notify the Lighting Technician and the Area Manager of any repairs that he/she cannot complete.·To attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.·To comply with all Health and Safety regulations and the company’s Health and Safety Policy at all times.·To work with company and Asda colleagues to ensure that laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times.Please note these lists are not exhaustiveSPECIAL FEATURES:·High degree of flexibility in working hours·High degree of mobility - travelling throughout the area·Personal fitness - the nature of the job requires the jobholder to climb ladders, work in confined spaces etc.·Driving Licence is essentialKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:·Quality of repairs and maintenance·Speed and efficiency of work·Response to service call requests within agreed response times·Achievement of tasks within the timescales set by the Lighting Technician·Maintenance of Health and Safety policy·Customer and colleague relationships and feedback.Ideal candidates will have background / experience in basic electrical work / lighting / maintenancePlease only apply if you have a full and valid driving licence and are OK to stay away from home on average 4 nights a month.Are client can only consider people based North of the Centre of Glasgow as you will be working with another person who is based in Northern Glasgow and they need the 2 people fairly close together.To apply please send your full CV to Jonathan Sweasey at PDA Search and Selection Required skills
