Are you an experiencedHealth and Safety Managerwho is NEBOSH qualified and used to working within a busy logistics/ distribution environment We have a fantastic opportunity for a Health and Safety Manager to work with one of the UKs largest publishers based in Glasgow. This is a fixed term contract of 12 months, with possible extension, workingMondayFriday 8am-4:30pm on a salary of up to £45,000 per annum. Benefits include private medical cover, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, free parking, subsidised canteen on site, discounts of products and discount platforms.AsHealth and Safety Manager, reporting into the Site Services Manageryou will part of a team of 15, however this is a standalone role taking responsibility for allHealth and Safety regulations and compliance for thisbusy and large distribution site with 400-500 staff onsite. You will develop and maintain Health and Safety best practice ensuring the company complies with current Health and Safety regulations. This will include organising safety committee meetingsand producing management reports as well as making changes to working practices to ensure safe systems of work are in place. You will conduct internal audits and produce monthly KPIs and records on incidents/accidents, alongside regular site inspections inorder to produce reports and statistics that suggest improvements.In detail, you will outline safe operational procedures and provide training and develop capabilities to complete accident investigation and reporting as well as risk assessments. You will also assist with producing a Health and Safety master plan for a newproposed site which will need full Health and Safety procedures and systems in place. We are keen to hear from applicantswith previous health and safety management experience in a similar role within a distribution environment. You will demonstrate the ability to stimulate and manage change with excellent communication skills and capability to establish effective networks within the company. You will possess knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation and a minimumNEBOSHgeneralcertificate.
