Job Description

The CompanyMTrec are currently recruiting for a highly successful manufacturing firm based in the Birtley area, who are looking for a fabricator / Welder for a permanent contract after successful probation.Potential to accept candidates with limited welding experience as Training can be given.The Role

  • MIG welding of mild steel and stainless steel materials
  • Cutting, grinding of basic sheet metal materials
  • Guillotines, presses, brake presses will be used on occasions for general preparation of work
  • Following both basic engineering drawings and production plans
  • Measuring and completing preparation work prior to starting the manufacturing process
  • Quality inspections, including re-checking materials against production plans and measuring items
  • Manually labouring including loading benches with materials prior to starting work
  • General house keeping duties including work area tidy and clutter free
  • Dealing with both batch work and bespoke products
The Person
  • Must be able to work both individually for long period of time after training, and in a team
  • Comfortable to do overtime during peak and busy spells
  • Should be comfortable working on a day shift only role
  • Must be interested in gaining a permanent contract after a 12 week probation period

  • Monday - Friday, 07:30 am - 16:00 pm
  • Sunday - Thursday, 21:00 pm - 07:00 am
The Pay
  • £10.75 per hour on day shift, and £14.06 on night shift
