Job Description

Nursery/EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 3) Location: Birtley, Chester-le-streetAre you passionate about early childhood education Do you thrive in a nurturing and supportive environment I am supporting a school who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Nursery/EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team. Role Overview: As a Nursery/EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of young children aged 3-5 years. You’ll work closely with the experienced teaching staff to create a positive and engaging environment where childrencan explore, learn, and grow. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in Classroom Activities: Support teachers in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to children with varying needs, ensuring their well-being and progress.
  • Observation and Assessment: Observe children’s behavior, track milestones, and contribute to individual learning plans.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for children, following all health and safety guidelines.
  • Parent Communication: Foster positive relationships with parents, sharing updates on children’s progress and well-being.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Qualification: You must hold a recognized Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Passion for Early Childhood: A genuine love for working with young children and supporting their development.
  • Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Player: Collaborative and adaptable, able to work effectively within a team.
  • DBS Check: A valid Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
