Job Description

Zenith People are currently recruiting for a family ran, Concrete Supply and Delivery company based in Birtley, Chester-Le-Street.Zenith People are searching for hard-working and ambitious Labourers on a temporary to permanent basis.Job Description & Key Responsibilities:

  • Concrete barrowing
  • Mix, pour, and finish concrete for a variety of different construction jobs
  • Working outdoors and in unfinished buildings (hot & cold weather)
  • Working with experienced colleagues and reading Blueprints and determining necessary measurements
  • Spreading concrete (strong attention to detail)
  • Ensuring wet concrete is level and free of depression
  • Using hand tools such as groovers and hand trowels
  • Using machinery to remove bubbles
  • Shaping concrete with wood or plastic forms
  • Monitoring the drying process of concrete
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Manual handling of concrete blocks, lifting bags of concrete mix
  • Undertaking both private and commercial jobs
  • Adherence to strict Health & Safety Guidelines
    • Candidate Specification:
  • Must have driving licence
  • CSCS Card is desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of Health and Safety requirements within construction industry
  • Counterbalance FLT License and/or Tow Tractor)
  • Ability to be on feet for long periods of time
  • Comfortable with physical work and manual handling
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
  • Experience of working within the construction industry is desirable
  • Flexible with working overtime and weekend work
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to complete documentation clearly & accurately
    • Shift Pattern:Day Shift:Monday - Friday:8 hours a day between 07:00am and 17:00pm. Must be flexible on a daily basis to work until a job is complete. Overtime rates will apply.Salary:
