Job Description

Junior / Graduate PHP DeveloperHybrid - Onsite and from home workingCooper Lomaz are currently working with a growing organisation who are part of a leading group specialising within a niece and resilient area of expertise who are seeking a Hybrid near Gateshead. This is a great opportunity to work with web base systems thatallow customers access to information through an online system, which is updated daily with legislation and policies. Subscribers use the systems to find everything they need through our unique structure, clear menus and custom built search engine.We are looking for a PHP programmer to continue development on the front and back-end systems that make up the website where you will be working in a small team with lots of opportunities to progress and be trained. This would involve the maintaining of theexisting codebase as well as development of new features. The role is a key foundation of the business so would best suit an individual who has high confidence in their ability, can learn quickly and is looking to work on a long-term project.You will be working alongside the existing technical team on these projects as the primary dedicated PHP developer with training and support for the Development Manager.Essential skills:

  • Object-Oriented PHP
  • MVC architecture
  • MySQL
  • jQuery
  • Laravel (ideal not essential)
Desirable skills:
  • Knowledge of Source Control (Subversion) Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, SES, Route 53)
