About the roleWe are recruiting for a Production Manager to be responsible for the management of a production unit at the Kerry Birstwith Manufacturing site. You will lead a cross functional team to deliver production specific goals using the Kerry Production system.Reporting into the Site Manager you will be a key member of the team to provide operational leadership within the unit to drive up the culture and KPIS of safety, quality, yield, labour cost, attainment to plan, OTIF and OEE. The successful candidate willdirect and lead all operations within production to improve efficiencies and set overall expectations and motivations for employees to perform and succeed.Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to be on site 5 days a week Monday-Friday What will I be doing

  • Accountable for all QHSE initiatives across production
  • Protect the health and safety of all employees through instituting and adherence to site safety culture
  • Investigate and action any HSE observations, near misses and incidents in the allocated time frame
  • Accountable for completion of risk assessment on all processes and tasks with Production
  • Implement countermeasures and mitigation plans to address identified risks
  • Develop a safe environment and safe behaviors within your team
  • Accountable for delivery and maintaining product quality with adherence to GMP through the management of the team
  • Ensure compliance to all quality systems and build a quality focus within the team
  • Responsible for the action of monthly GMP audits
  • To be point of escalation for issues impacting production

  • Accountable for maintaining stock accuracy within production using SAP for traceability purposes
  • Drive a continuous improvement lean mindset within production
  • Review relevant site policies and procedures ensuring the requirements are documented in the standard of work and team members are aware
  • Accountable for the optimisation of labour across the site against production plan
  • Manage all absent request and complete return to work procedures when necessary escalating to Plant Manager when required
