Job Description

Field Operations ManagerAASC, East MidlandsFTC - Full Time37.5 hours per weekSalary £35,000 pro rata + Company BenefitsHere at Serco an opportunity has arisen for a Field Operations Manager on a FTC basis who has strong interpersonal skills to join our team. AASC offers a range of improvements, with particular focus on assisting individuals through the asylum system. Theywill ensure that vulnerable asylum seekers have access to the support they need and set clear requirements on the standard and condition of accommodation.As a key member of the Operations Management Team, the Field Operations Manager is responsible for providing property managementand service user support services via their team of Housing Officers within the designated portfolio, to ensure compliant deliveryof the Serco AASC contract.This role is field based, working from an appointed Field Office Location (FOL). The area of responsibility will generally be in the vicinity of the FOL, however there may be occasions coverage of a different area within region is required, or attendanceon a different site is required. All mileage incurred during the course of the working day is calculated as commercial, however the commute to and from home to the FOL is at the employees expense. Accommodation will be paid for should the distance when travellingto certain areas be excessive and requires an overnight stay.The Field Operations Manager is responsible forensuring compliance with the AASC contract, company policies, processes and procedures for their designated area of responsibility, through their management of staff and liaising with other teams within thebusiness, landlords, sub-contractors, external agencies and partners. You will ensure that all properties within your allocated area of the property portfolio are safe, habitable, fit for purpose and fully equipped in accordance with contract standards bothnational and local, while also ensuring regulatory and legislative requirements are also met and also ensure the provision of all necessary service user dispersal, relocation, ongoing support services and discontinuation activities within their designatedportfolio is delivered in accordance with the contract and that all service users maintain compliance with the conditions of their support provision.As Field Operations Manager you will provide the operational leadership for Housing Officers within the designated portfolio and review and monitor Housing Officertasks to ensure all staff are working to Contract standard. You will undertake random auditsamples of Housing Officer activities and you will train, coach and mentor a multi-functional team creating, developing, and managing a skills matrix for the Housing Officers.You will manage MyHR requirements for all Housing Officers and Maintenance Operatives,including sickness absence, grievance and disciplinary processes and performance management and authorise where appropriate sub-contractor work to be undertaken.You will have responsibility for the ongoing analysis of operational performance within the team and will investigate and respond to the complaints department and provide analysis on areas of concern by providing timely reports and information as requiredand supporting the business through engaging in fact finders and investigations where required ensuring the provision of all necessary service user support services are in accordance with the contract and that all service users maintain compliance with theconditions of their support provision and manage all incident reporting and dispersal, relocation and discontinuation of service users.What you need to do the Job:We are looking for candidates with previous Management experience with proven communication skills and a minimum A Level, Higher or equivalent education or experience.Ideally yellow belt certified or willing to work towards certification, but you must have excellent people management skills with evidence of engaging staff and driving team performance.
