Title:Business Support ApprenticeLocation:Birchwood, CheshireWorking Week:37 hours per week, MondayFriday.Salary: £12000 per annum plus benefits & 25 days annual leaveApprenticeship Qualification:L3 Business Administrator StandardExpected Apprenticeship Duration:Up to 18 monthsAbout your roleLooking to kickstart your career in business administrationWe, at Serco, are looking to recruit an Apprentice Business Administrator to support the AASC, by assisting the Service Delivery Co-ordinators to conduct their daily tasks with UK Visas and Immigration (UKV&I) in relation to accommodation and transportfor Service Users.Serco has a strong commitment to apprentices and training. As a successful Serco apprentice, you will be provided with unparalleled support throughout the duration of your programme and beyond with endless opportunities for career progression within thebusiness.Your key accountabilitiesThe role will see you developing professional relationships with key stakeholders across the AASC contract, ensuring high customer service standards are met. As part of the role, you will be responsible for general office and administrative support, preparingand attending meetings. Other key duties include maintaining data integrity of the IT systems to support performance reporting and ensuring accurate information relating to accommodation is uploaded, on the relevant IT systems. You will ensure that all propertycertification for accommodation is present, in date and accurate.As well as provide support with scheduling and prioritising of repairs and defects to internal and external operatives, including correct category of work, timescales, and correct recipient, in compliance with the contractual requirements of KPIs.As you gain more experience, your role will become more challenging and varied with more autonomy to take on tasks.More about youWe are keen to speak to candidates who are team players but do not shy away from working on their own initiative, taking responsibility for their own workload ensuring tasks are prioritised effectively; with the ability to work to strict deadlines whilstachieving a high level of accuracy.Liaising with colleagues and internal customers at different levels is a vital part of this role, therefore, interpersonal skills along with customer care skills with the ability to adapt communication style are highly desirable.Good administrative skills and an eye for attention to detail with a working knowledge MS Office (including Word, Outlook, and Excel) and a basic understanding of procedures along with the willingness to learn to use different systems are key to be successfulin this role.The ideal candidate will have GCSES grades A* to C (or 9 to 4 in the new grading system) in Maths and English or the acceptable equivalent.It is essential that you are able to travel daily to Birchwood, Cheshire to arrive on time for work.
