Job Description

Our client, a forward-thinking and dynamic organisation within the payments sector, is seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer. They are committed to maintaining the highest security and compliance standards while fostering an environment of innovationand efficiency.The Role:As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing their AWS architecture and operational capabilities. Youll ensure robust security, efficient cloud resource management, and the seamless integration of security into the development lifecycle,with an emphasis on PCI-DSS compliance.Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, monitor, and manage AWS services, ensuring proactive log and metric analysis.
  • Collaborate with architects to design and maintain scalable, resilient cloud architectures with disaster recovery protocols.
  • Utilise scripting languages for security automation and patch management.
  • Manage cloud resources across multiple regions/accounts, leveraging AWS AMIs, CloudFormation/CDK.
  • Configure and maintain network security features, ensuring protection and compliance.
  • Apply expert knowledge of security controls and threat detection in line with PCI-DSS and other standards.
  • Maintain current patch management systems to secure against vulnerabilities.
  • Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, focusing on DotNet technologies.
  • Optimise system performance and scalability while upholding strict security and compliance standards.
  • Handle incident management effectively to minimise and resolve security issues promptly.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in AWS services, architecture, and resource management.
  • Expertise in scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python) and automated security practices.
  • Solid background in network configuration, DNS, content delivery, and network protection.
  • Thorough understanding of security and compliance (PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
  • Experience with patch management and system security updates.
  • Proficiency in DevOps practices, particularly within DotNet frameworks.
  • Capability to improve system performance within high-security standards.
  • Strong skills in incident management and infrastructure troubleshooting.
