Job Description

A CAE Engineer position has become available, within a business that supplies revolutionary technology to the ever-changing Automotive industry. As they work through a huge period of growth, this award-winning company continues to expand its various teams,including additional Shop Floor and Development staff. The successful professional with be provided with company incentives such as flexible working hours and bespoke personal development opportunities.Overview of the role -Design and development of suspension systems from concept through to volume production.CAE Engineer duties include -

  • Develop prediction models using analytical / simulation tools.
  • Design simple hand operating fixtures, through to more complex suspension systems.
  • Support resolutions of manufacturing-based concerns relevant to new processes, new products, productivity, waste, quality and safety.
  • Support development engineers in the testing and development of new products.
  • Creation and management of supporting engineering documentation including FMEAs.
CAE Engineer desirable skills/experience/attributes -
  • Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods (Automotive).
  • Good analytical skills to conduct complex design calculations.
  • Experience with analysis tools such as Matlab, Abaqus, Simulink, Ansys, Adams etc.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and pressure vessels would be an advantage.
  • Relevant mechanical engineering education and/or training (HND/HNC).
