Job Description

Working within the Site Finance Team, as a Production Management Accountant you will be managing a team of 3, controlling the Manufacturing Accounting and Reporting data systems for the 2 Prepack factories whilst instigating and driving variance investigationand corrective action in conjunction with the site management and operational teams.Working Monday - Friday.You will make contributions that matter by...

  • Producing weekly and monthly management accounts for the site leadership and central management teams, plus complete a financial monthly review pack in line with Group Accounting Policies and required deadlines.
  • Compiling the site budget and monthly rolling forecasts with accompanying financial review packs (including financials casuals, operational KPIs and variance analysis).
  • Producing and being responsible for the Site Balance Sheet Reconciliations in line with the Minimum Levels of Financial Controls.
  • Owning the annual preparation and delivery of the production standard cost / production routes and formulas for budgeting purposes.
  • Leading the management accounting processes and reporting delivery for the 2 Prepack factories.
  • Working with the engineering and operations managers on continuous improvement projects to help reduce the cost per tonne and improve yields and performance.
  • Developing, guiding and providing cover for the Assistant Management Accountants.
  • Deputising for the Site Finance Manager as required.
You are best suited for the role if you have…
  • An accountancy qualification (CIMA or ACCA).
  • A flexible working attitude and the ability to identify financial impact from operational issues.
  • Advanced working knowledge of spreadsheets and financial systems - experience of AX Dynamics - ideal.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry with working understanding of product costings and recoveries - ideal.
