Job Description

This well-established, national company is seeking to appoint a Management Accountant to join the finance team located in Durham.On a growth trajectory, the business is looking to appoint a Management Accountant with significant month end experience to support the next phase of its growth. If you are looking for a new and exciting adventure with a fast-growing and already well-establishedapparel manufacturer, this is the role for you!Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will work as part of a finance team of 5.Responsibilities

  • Timely preparation of customised weekly and monthly management accounts with relevant commentary to be presented to the Head of Finance
  • Assisting with preparation and presentation of quarterly and yearly reports such as cash flow forecasts and budgets.
  • Liaising and working with key stakeholders, such as internal accounting teams, auditors, customers, and suppliers.
  • Process and project management
  • Suggesting and implementing improvements to internal control systems to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Preparation and submission of yearly statutory accounts and related filings.
  • Month end tasks such as ledger reconciliations, journal postings and review of fixed asset register.
  • Detailed review of payroll reports and reconciliation of control accounts
  • Creation or review of supplier payment runs.
  • Working closely with P&L team
You:
  • Previous management accounting experience
  • Strong technical accounting skills, and advanced Excel skills
  • A flexible, can-do attitude with strong organisational skills
  • Excellent oral, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present financial information in a meaningful way.
